The Controller: Link

Here's the plan - I'm either gonna do a one-shot or a series of 4 - 5 works based on Link's adventures in Hyrule. Except he'll have a little kid holding a controller that's hooked into his head, "playing" Link...you know, like you do when you play the Zelda games for real.

This is an offshoot of a sequential art project where I made a faux magazine based on one of my favorite pastimes - videogames. One of the most vibrant memories I had as a kid was being sucked into Zelda, and not just for the gameplay. The graphics were so crude that I used my imagination to fill in the gaps, and I had a very grandoise idea of what Hyrule must've "really" looked like. For this project, I want to convey that idea - that this kid who runs with Link has direct control over him, but also feels the very same triumph and peril.

Yeah - high concepting, crappy quicky sketch. I'll see how this turns out.
