MURAL TIME: Version 1

This has been the most challenging job of the past few weeks. It was originally slated as a 5' x 7' painted mural (we weren't the ones painting it), so it had to be relatively simple in design. The theme was 'beach art deco' so I started off with a Venice Beach-ish scene. Lots of buildings, all flat colors, a beach with some activity, and I made sure to keep it 'deco.'

I was told "nono, you've got it all wrong."

Then I was shown an example of what they had in mind. It was also simple, flat colors, but this thing had rolling hills and farmland, not to mention some gradients going on here and there.

"oh, okay - THAT is what they want"

After being informed this mural was to go up for a new, improved, health-conscious dining area on campus the 'rolling hills' thing made sense. Anyway, here's the resulting 'first stab' at the revision.

I'd post the Venice looking one, but unfortunately the file was lost. Boo.
